I wrote a book – together with foodie Stephanie Bex – about aperitivo time!
“Haperitief!” is a play of words that combines the Dutch word “Hap” (taking a bite) and “aperitief” (aperitif). It’s also the name of a TV show on the Belgian TV station njam! with Michelin-star chef Bart Desmidt, Jeroen De Pauw (one of Belgian most famous TV chefs) and cocktail queen Hannah Van Ongevalle. Njam! asked Stephanie and me to turn the concept of the TV show into a book with 40+ new recipes. We paired 40 festive bites & snacks with +40 cocktails and wrote some guidelines of pairing food with drinks.
I researched many classic cocktails and brought them into the modern times with improved recipes, at least according to my own taste.
