First opened in 1931, The Dorchester is part of the Dorchester Collection of hotels, which also encompasses the Beverly Hills and Bel Air hotels in LA. It’s last major renovation was 1989. To bring it into the 21st-century, it has employed renowned designers and architects to give it a whole new look, while remaining open throughout the works. The result is stunning!
The Dorchester hotel is often associated with James Bond and the hollywood franchise’s creator Ian Fleming, who often resided at the hotel. Therefor the Dorchester opted to name it’s main bar, The Vesper Bar, in a tribute to James Bond’s first actual love and the cocktail he named after her.
When I was asked to provide end-to-end support on a private cocktail event at this beautiful venue, I did not hesitate.
